squad. They eventually coached allstar (competition) cheerleading squads at Oak Grove Elementary School as well as teaching Cheernastics at Hueytown Elementary through the Jefferson County Community Education program.
Karen Burchfield, the mother of one of the allstar cheerleaders, along with Ree and Melinda, saw the need for a place in the area that could bring together students from many communities who have a passion for the sport of cheerleading. Michele Glaze also came on board because of her love of children and gymnastics. The dream was born.
Locating the proper facility served to be quite a challenge. We wanted plenty of floor space with enough ceiling space to allow for stunting. After much searching, we found the perfect spot in Hueytown Village. But, after a little over a year, we had outgrown our perfect spot. So, beginning March 1, 2008, we will be in our new facility located on Brooklane Drive at Commerce Avenue. We will have a full size spring floor in addition to all of our other equipment. Our new facility also offers a loft for classes, so we will be offering many new classes starting in April. When you walk in the door, you'll know we're different. Cheerleading isn't a sideline for us!
From beginner tumbling to allstar squads, we can meet the needs of any young athlete. We will not rush your child to do more advanced skills before he or she is ready, and safety is our primary concern. With the newest and best equipment and experienced instructors, G-Force Cheer Gym is the place to go for any type of training associated with the sport of cheerleading.
